The Body Project is an evidence-based eating disorder prevention program. This group-based Cognitive Dissonance therapy program is based on 16 years of research and has been shown to be effective in reducing the risk for eating disorders.
The program aims to decrease the extent to which we ‘buy into’ societal appearance ideals by voluntarily engaging in discussion, role play, written and behavioural exercises.
The program is suitable for anyone who identifies themselves as being dissatisfied with their body, and who may be engaging in dieting and disordered eating behaviours.
The program is:
Delivered over 4 consecutive weeks - participants must attend all sessions
Each session is 1 hour in duration
Designed to be delivered to a group of up to 10 people, of the same gender.
Project Health is an evidence-based group intervention that promotes healthy, lasting lifestyle changes to dietary intake and physical activity.
The program involves healthy lifestyle strategies to maintain well-being while enhancing body satisfaction. The program is suitable for anyone who is interested in learning more about developing healthy lifestyle habits and is also suitable for people who have completed the Body Project program.
The program is:
Delivered over 6 consecutive weeks - participants must attend all sessions
Each session is 1 hour in duration
Designed to be delivered to a group of up to 10 people, of any gender.
