You do not need a referral to see Beck.
Beck accepts self referrals, as well as referrals from members of your health care team. Beck sees people aged >16 years and does not offer bulk billing, so there will be out-of-pocket / gap expenses. All patients are required to pay the full fee at the time of their appointment, and they will receive any eligible benefits from Medicare following their appointment. See fees here. Medicare rebates Beck's appointments attract Nurse Pracitioner (NP) Medicare rebates for everyone with a Medicare card. That means you don't need a GP Chronic Conditions Management Plan (CCMP) to claim a rebate for most appointments. One exception: if your appointment is specifically for dietetic care only (for example, nutrition management without diabetes education, or dietetics only for an eating disorder), a GP CCMP or Eating Disorder Treatment Plan (EDTP) is still needed to access a Medicare rebate. For every other diabetes education and clinical appointment, the NP Medicare items apply. What about NDIS, DVA or managed health care particpants? If you are self-managed (meaning you can pay your invoice in full at the time of your appointment and can seek reimbursement directly through your NDIS, DVA or Aged Care Package provider), Beck is very happy to continue supporting you. Unfortunately, she can no longer accept referrals for participants who are not self-managed. This decision has been made with great care and consideration. The increasing administrative and reporting requirements, combined with ongoing price freezes for NDIS therapy services, have made it no longer financially sustainable to offer the level of comprehensive, quality care every person deserves. Beck remains deeply committed to providing compassionate, person-centred support within the scope that allows her to maintain her professional standards and the wellbeing of all her clients. |
